SEMARANG – Saturday, (28/10) Astronomy activists in Semarang had successfully held InOMN (International Observe The Moon Night) 2017 which is organized by Month Observation Team (TOB) of UIN Walisongo Semarang Postgraduate, Himpunan Astronomi Amatir Semarang (HAAS), CSSMoRA UIN Walisongo Semarang and Hisab Rukyah Team (THR) of The Great Mosque of Central Java (MAJT) in cooperation with National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) United States located on the Great Mosque of Central Java (MAJT).
There were 24 observation points of the Moon in this activity which were spread all over Indonesia. Particularly in Central Java, the center of InOMN 2017 activities was held in the Great Mosque of Central Java.
The event was attended by 200 participants who came from various circles both students and general public. Including SMA 1 Karang Tengah, SMAN 5 Semarang, SMK SPMA H. Moenadi and SMA Agriculture Semarang. The astronomical activists who came from the students were dominated by students from UIN Walisongo Semarang especially the Department of Falak which is very familiar with the observation of the Moon as well as some participants from other universities such as UPGRIS, UNNES, POLINES, UNISSULA and UNISBANK. The event lasted from 19.00 WIB until 23.00 WIB.
The event was opened by Dr. KH. Ahmad Izzudin, M.Ag as the chairman of the Association of Falak Indonesia Lecturer and Head of Falak/Cosmography Postgraduate Program UIN Walisongo Semarang. “Make the International Observe the Moon Night 2017 as a means to increase the insight of heavenly forms so that we can more have deeply reflection about God Almighty creation.” He said when opening the event.
Before the observation of the Moon, the participants who were present earlier equipped the exposure of Phase of the Moon which in this case was delivered by Muhammad Faishol Amin, then continued by the exposure of Mobile Astropotography by Nursidqon and the last of Moon’s Moment by Muhammad Farid Azmi. There were some important notes delivered by the resource person when looking to observe the moon, “the best observation time of the month is in the First Quarter Phase (First Quarter phase). Usually it is on 6.7 and 8 months of hijriah. At that time the moonlight is not too bright so it does not make the eye become painful when the observation “, said Muhammad Faishol Amin.
In addition, At the time of discussion participants were invited to learn about Mobile Astropotography delivered by Nursidqon. He explained “all this time, Smartphone users still have not utilized the camera facilities that they have optimally. Apart from being a medium of communication, another benefit that is not yet known toward many people that is Smartphone cameras can be used to photograph cosmic forms with pretty good result. This is a solution for Astrophotography lovers who have thin budget to buy DSLR camera”.
Discussion went with very high enthusiastic of participants, Ehsan, participant from SMAN 5 Semarang commented “After I follow the material presented, I get a lot of new science about the moon and how to take pictures of the sky at night with Astrophotography techniques”.
“After knowing the science of Astrophotography, I want to directly photograph the cosmos forms using a simple tool that is not too expensive because it does not require expensive telescopes”, said Firli, a participant from S1 Falak Student of UIN Walisongo.

SEMARANG – Sabtu, (28/10) Pegiat Astronomi Semarang telah sukses mengadakan acara InOMN (International Observe The Moon Night) 2017 yang diselengggrakan oleh Tim Observasi Bulan (TOB) Pascasarjana UIN Walisongo Semarang, Himpunan AstronomiAmatir Semarang (HAAS), CSSMoRA UIN Walisongo Semarang dan Tim Hisab Rukyah (THR) Masjid Agung Jawa Tengah (MAJT) bekerjasama dengan National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) Amerika Serikat berlokasi di Masjid Agung Jawa Tengah (MAJT).
Terdapat 24 titik observasi Bulan dalam kegiatan ini yang tersebar di seluruh wilayah Indonesia. Secara khusus di Jawa Tengah, pusat kegiatan InOMN 2017 dilaksanakan di Masjid Agung Jawa Tengah.
Acara ini dihadiri oleh 200 peserta yang datang dari berbagai kalangan baik itu pelajar dan masyarakat umum. di antaranya SMA 1 Karang Tengah, SMAN 5 Semarang, SMK SPMA H. Moenadi dan SMA Pertanian Semarang. Adapun pegiat astronomi yang berasal dari kalangan mahasiswa didominasi oleh mahasiswa dari UIN Walisongo Semarang terutama jurusan Ilmu Falak yang memang sangat akrab dengan observasi Bulan serta beberapa peserta dari universtas lain seperti UPGRIS, UNNES, POLINES, UNISSULA danUNISBANK. Acara berlangsung dari pukul 19.00 WIB sampai dengan pukul 23.00 WIB.
Acara dibuka oleh Dr. KH. Ahmad Izzudin, M.Ag selaku ketua Asosiasi Dosen Falak Indonesia dan KaProdi S2 Ilmu Falak UIN Walisongo Semarang. “Jadikan moment International Observe The Moon Night 2017 sebagai sarana menambah wawasan benda-benda langit agar kita lebih mentadabburi ciptaan Tuhan Yang Maha Esa.” Pesannya ketika membuka acara.
Sebelum observasi Bulan dilakukan para peserta yang hadir terlebih dahulu dibekali dengan pemaparan mengenai Fase Bulan yang dalam hal ini disampaikan oleh Muhammad Faishol Amin, kemudian dilanjutkan pemaparan mengenai Mobile Astropotography oleh Nursidqon dan terakhir mengenai Moon’s Moment oleh Muhammad Farid Azmi. Ada beberapa catatan penting yang disampaikan oleh narasumber ketika ingin mengamati bulan, “waktu terbaik pengamatan bulan berada pada Fase First Quarter (fase Seperempat Pertama). Biasanya berada pada tanggal 6,7 dan 8 bulan hijriah. Pada Saat itu cahaya bulan tidak terlalu terang sehingga tidak membuat mata menjadi ngilu ketika pengamatan”, ungkap Muhammad Faishol Amin.
Selain itu, Pada saat diskusi peserta diajak untuk belajar mengenai Mobile Astropotography yang disampaikan oleh Nursidqon. Dia menjelaskan “ selama ini, para pengguna Smartphone masih belum memanfaatkan fasilitas kamera yang dimilikinya secara optimal. Selain sebagai media komunikasi, manfaat lain yang belum diketahui banyak orang adalah kamera Smartphone dapat digunakan untuk memotret benda langit dengan hasil yang lumayan bagus. Ini merupakan solusi bagi para pecinta Astrofotografi yang memiliki modal tipis untuk membeli kamera DSLR”.
Diskusi berjalan dengan antusias peserta sangat tinggi, Ehsan peserta yang berasal dari SMAN 5 Semarang berkomentar “Setelah saya mengikuti materi yang disampaikan, saya mendapatkan banyak ilmu baru tentang bulan dan bagaimana mengambil gambar langit pada malam hari dengan teknik Astrofotografi“.
“Setelah mengetahui ilmu tentang Astrofotografi, saya ingin langsung memotret benda langit dengan menggunakan alat sederhana yang tidak terlalu mahal harganya karena tidak membutuhkan teleskop yang mahal”, ungkap Firli peserta dari Mahasiswa S1 Falak UIN Walisongo.
Setelah pembekalan selesai selanjutnya para peserta diajak ke lokasi observasi bulan untuk mengamati bulan secara langsung menggunakan teleskop manual dan robotik. Acara InOMN tahun ini berjalan lancar dan sukses terkait pengamatan dan beberapa foto Bulan yang berhasil diambil di lokasi pelataran Masjid Agung Jawa Tengah. (Asih Pertiwi)
